THE FERN HAS JUST TAKEN OVER THE LEASE AT THE SLATE THEATER AND IS CURRENTLY IN THE MIDDLE OF RENOVATIONS FOR THE SLATE AND WE NEED YOUR HELP THIS #GIVINGTUESDAY!
WE WANT TO ENSURE THAT THIS SPACE REMAINS AFFORDABLE FOR SMALLER COMPANIES AND INDIVIDUAL ARTISTS IN SEATTLE WHILE PROVIDING A COMFORTABLE SPACE FOR OUR PATRONS. SOME OF THE RENOVATIONS WILL INCLUDE:
AIR CONDITIONING, NEW SEATING, NEW LIGHTING INSTRUMENTS, NEW PAINT (TURNING THE THEATRE INTO A TRUE BLACK BOX), UPDATED DRESSING ROOMS (WITH STATIONARY DRESSING TABLES, WATER COOLER, MIRRORS, AND LIGHTS).

The Slate Theater is located at 815 Seattle Blvd S, Inside the Inscape Arts Building (The Old Immigration and Assay Building)
The Slate is a short walk (about 4 blocks) from both the International District/Chinatown Link Station & Bus Bay

There are several parking lots on 6th Ave, half a block from The Slate Theatre. Both Paid Lots and Back Angle Street Parking is available.
