2017 is off to a great start for The Fern! In February, The Fern Shakespeare Company made their Seattle debut to a sold out run for Complete Works of William Shakespeare (Abridged). Welcome to the new Fern Shakespeare Company blog! Happy 2017!!!! You may notice something different in our name—We are now officially The Fern Shakespeare Company (previously The Fern Theatre).
Why did we change our name? Well, simply, we decided that we wanted our company’s focus to be on Original Practice Shakespeare performance. We’ve already produced four Shakespeare plays and we realized that we wanted to devote our company’s mission to the production of amazing & accessible classical theatre. To emphasize this, we decided to change our name to The Fern Shakespeare Company. Yay!
