Spring 2015: The Wilderness.
The Fern Theatre presented the world premiere of Theroun D'Arcy Patterson's new play The Wilderness, winner of the 2014 New Play Development Series.
In the wake of a traumatic event, three women suddenly tumble into a world where the shadows of the past have grown legs, arms and teeth. As an ever-tangling wilderness grows, a caustic telephone operator, a hyper-efficient outfitter, a pushy sinkhole expert, and a brutal Woodswoman help the women find the strength to face what haunts them before the thing in the forest finds it's way in.
The Wilderness is directed by Jennifer Alice Acker, stage managed by Jennifer Seaman and stars:
Kirstin Calvert, Betty Mitchell, Mary Ruth Ralston, Mary Saville, & Angelica Spence
Elizabeth Jarrett is the set designer, William Joel Coady is the sound designer, Christen Orr is the fight choreographer, Jessica Fern Hunt is the costume & lighting designer, Doug Graham is the props designer.
Theroun D'Arcy Patterson is an Atlanta based playwright whose previous works have been produced by The Essential Theatre, Out of Box Theatre, and the Detroit Repertory Theatre. Some of his previous works include: That Uganda Play, A Thousand Circlets, fugitive:Eros, and The Chemicals Between Us.

The Wilderness will be performed in the backstage space at 7 Stages Theatre, 1105 Euclid Ave, Atlanta, GA 30307
